Apple introduced Watch Series 2 at the iPhone 7 launch last month and also upgraded the original
Apple Watch by introducing Watch Series 1. Apple already confirmed that both these will be
available from October 7th in India. Now both these are available for pre-order from Flipkart,
authorized online reseller for Apple devices in the country.
The Apple Watch Series 2 comes with a brighter display, improved processor and built-in GPS. It
features a new S2 chip with a faster dual-core processor and a new GPU with 2x graphics performance. Apple says this makes the next gen Apple Watch 50 percent faster than its
predecessor. The new display is 2x brighter at 1000 nits, brightest for any Apple display. It is
water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with watchOS 3.
The Apple Watch Series 1 has upgraded dual-core processor for faster performance speeds. Apple
claims this makes the Series 1 upto 50% faster than the original one. All other features of the Series 1 such as heart rate sensor, splash resistance and OLED Retina display with Force Touch (450 nits) and others remains the same.
Apple already said that the ceramic Apple Watch Edition will start at Rs. 1,10,900 and Apple
Watch Nike+ will start at Rs. 32,900 and go on sale in India on October 7th, but these are not
available for pre-order on Flipkart yet.
